NEATEL's hardened drop cables and connectors are environmentally robust to provide a reliable interface in the outside plant environment. So far we have multiple FTTX outdoor preconnectorized cabling assembly solution delivery fiber signal to the home, widely using hardened connectors simplifies installation and maintenance by reducing splicing requirements in the distribution portion of the network. The rugged optical connectors are hardened to protect against extreme temperature, moisture, UV, chemical exposure and other harsh conditions typically found in the outside plant.
Features and Applications
✔ The connector will respond to the optical/structural characteristics of an SC/APC connector, the optical body will always be protected internally to avoid any type of impact/dirt or external conditions that will affect its performance.
✔ A casing or outer body will be arranged around this optical body, which once connected, through a type system bayonet/thread, on the reinforced adapter, provide the connection with the necessary protection to withstand weather conditions in outdoor installations (façade/pole);
✔ The optical body will always be protected in such a way that when the connector is handled it is not exposed to possible impacts or accidental damage;
✔ Connectors must be supplied with protective ferrule caps and a robust outer cap that provide a minimum degree of protection IP68, so that they are suitable for outdoor conditions. These plugs will have an eyelet that allows them to be pulled during installation;
✔ The main body material will be Polyethyleneimine reinforced fiberglass yarns, with UV stabilizers;
✔ Interoperability against other reinforced connectors approved by client will be an exclusive condition, for this reason they must attach technical information on interoperability against other manufacturers as well as supporting attenuation and ORL tests.
✔ The connectors will correspond to those that have a convex and angled (APC) ferrule polishing that meets the optical/physical characteristics.
