Twin-port 2 x 800Gb/s OSFP224 IHS/Closed Finned Top to 4 x 400Gb/s OSFP224 RHS/Flat Top InfiniBand XDR Active Copper Splitter Cable
Item Description
NEATEL's1.6T DAC-AC1H is an 1600Gb/s twin-port OSFP (Octal Small Form-factor Pluggable) IHS/Closed Finned Top to 4 x 400Gb/s OSFP RHS/Flat Top Active Copper Splitter Cable (ACC). The ACC uses 8-channels of 200G-PAM4 modulation and has lengths of 1 and 2.5-meters. ACC cables are the second lowest-cost, low-latency, low-power consuming, high-speed links next to passive DACs due to their simplicity of design and minimal components.
Features and Applications

Core Function: Enhanced Density and Flexibility

The core value of these breakout cables lies in their ability to virtualize a single high-speed physical port on a switch (such as 800G or 1.6T) into multiple lower-speed logical ports when your server network interface card (such as 400G) operates at a lower speed than the switch port. This results in:

✔ Maximizing switch port utilization: Avoiding bandwidth waste caused by connecting only one 400G server to an 800G or 1.6T port.

✔ Increasing rack connection density: Connecting multiple devices with a single cable, saving switch ports and cables.

✔ Providing deployment flexibility: During network upgrade transitions, new-generation high-speed switches can be used to connect more older-speed devices through backward compatibility.
