GYXTW53 Multi-Cores Outdoor Fiber Optical Cable
Item Description

The GYXTW53 cable features a center tube design with a single loose tube (made of PBT) housing the fibers, surrounded by a waterproof filling compound (gel) to prevent moisture ingress.

It includes two parallel steel wires for tensile strength and a double-layer sheath:

✅ Inner sheath: Polyethylene (PE) or bonded steel-polyethylene sheath.
✅ Outer sheath: PE jacket with corrugated steel tape armor (PSP - double-sided plastic-coated steel tape) for crush resistance and rodent protection.
✅ The structure is compact, with fibers concentrated at the center, and strengthening elements distributed on both sides of the sheath.


Features and Applications

Fiber Counts: Available from 2 to 144 cores (common counts: 2, 4, 6, 8, 12, 24).

Fiber Types: Supports both single-mode (e.g., G.652D, G.657A1) and multi-mode (e.g., OM1/OM2/OM3/OM4) fibers.

Optical Performance:
Attenuation (single-mode): ≤0.36 dB/km @1310/1550 nm.
Bandwidth (multi-mode): ≥200 MHz·km (OM1), ≥500 MHz·km (OM2), ≥2000 MHz·km (OM3/OM4).

Mechanical Properties:
Tensile strength: Short-term ≥1500 N, long-term ≥600 N.
Crush resistance: Short-term ≥1000 N/10 cm, long-term ≥300 N/10 cm.
Bending radius: Dynamic ≥20× cable diameter, static ≥10× cable diameter.

Environmental tolerance:
Operating Temperature: -40°C to +70°C (some sources indicate -40°C to +60°C).
Lifespan: ≥25 years (up to 30 years with proper installation).
